Independent information. For Australians.

Find a hair-loss doctor in Australia

Hair Doctor Match provides independent information and a call-back pathway for Australian adults seeking a hair-loss assessment with an AHPRA-registered doctor, often by telehealth where offered and appropriate. We are not a clinic or pharmacy catalogue, and we don’t advertise or sell medicines on this site. The doctor decides whether any treatment or prescription is appropriate; a consult does not assure a prescription or supply.

This site collects your name and contact details to save and pass your enquiry to our referral partner clinic so a registered doctor’s team can contact you about an assessment. Your details may be shared with the enquiry-handling team and our referral partner clinic and, only if you later choose, a service connected to that clinic. We are not a clinic and don't prescribe or supply; the doctor decides. We don't sell your information. See our Privacy Policy for sharing, access, correction and complaints information, including contact and processing arrangements that remain unconfirmed. Read the Privacy Policy.

Our role

What do we do?

We provide general information and connect you with our partner clinic for a hair loss assessment by a registered doctor, if you choose to enquire and the clinic can offer an appropriate appointment.

our referral partner clinic

Coverage, doctor details and appointment arrangements need to be confirmed by the clinic. This is a single-partner enquiry pathway, not a comparison of a panel of doctors.

Clear boundaries

What don’t we do?

We are not a clinic or pharmacy catalogue. We do not diagnose hair concerns, advertise medicines or sell them on this site. A registered doctor decides whether any treatment or prescription is appropriate after assessment; a consultation does not assure a prescription or supply.

You may use your own GP or another service. An enquiry is not a booking or an agreement to receive care, and you can ask questions before deciding to continue.

The pathway

Three steps, with your choices preserved

1. Make a contact enquiry

Read the checklist and collection notice, then share contact details only if you are 18 or older and give sharing consent. No clinical history or photos are collected here.

2. Speak with the clinic team

The partner clinic explains availability, appointment format and costs. Ask for written fees and terms before choosing whether to book.

3. Consult with a doctor

If you proceed, a registered doctor assesses your individual concern and discusses the next step. You decide whether to continue and may use your own GP or pharmacy.

What should I know about cost?

The doctor consultation fee is $99. The fee covers the consultation only. Any tests, medicines or pharmacy fees, including compounding fees if clinically appropriate, are separate and not included. The doctor decides whether any further care is appropriate; ask about separate charges before agreeing, and use whichever pharmacy you choose.

Who might consider an assessment?

Adults who have noticed gradual thinning, a receding hairline, a widening part or increased shedding may want to discuss the change with a doctor. These examples do not diagnose a cause or establish that any care is suitable.

For sudden or patchy loss with scalp pain or scarring, hair loss with weight loss or fatigue, or anyone under 18, a GP is the right first step.

Consider whether an assessment suits you

Who receives the enquiry?

This site passes enquiries to one referral partner clinic, not a panel of providers. The commercial arrangements with the referral partner have not been confirmed. Ask the team to explain any relationship before deciding to book.

Some operating and commercial arrangements remain unconfirmed. There are no hidden charges to the patient from this site. With your consent, the partner clinic can contact you about assessment arrangements; we do not sell your information.
